This module aims to equip students with core knowledge of analysing fluid flows through the proper use of simplifying assumptions and basic fluid-flow principles, fluid-flow phenomena observed in engineering systems, namely pipe flow, hydraulic transients, boundary-layer flows, and turbo machinery.

 The aims of this module are;

  • To equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge in Engineering Surveying.
  • To impart necessary skills to operate Surveying Instruments in the field.
  • To develop the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt surveying principles to solve industrial problems.

Introduce fundamental engineering science concepts related to fluid mechanics and provide an understanding of the basic principles of fluid mechanics and their application to analyze simple fluid flow problems.

Mechanics of materials studies how solid materials deform and fail under various loads and conditions. It's fundamental to designing safe structures and mechanical components.

This module aims to introduce the basic concepts of Environmental Engineering in terms of the analysis of environmental pollution and sustainability

The Aim of the module is;

To give an overview of structural elements, construction processes and materials related to civil engineering; and basic concepts, theories and methods of Engineering Surveying

The aim is to provide the students with a solid ground to practice

successfully as a construction engineer by conveying knowledge of

current technologies used in civil engineering construction.
