The aim of this module is to develop students’ knowledge and skills in mobile robotics and to train them to synthesize a mobile robot for a real-world application as a team.

During this lecture series, we will discuss the kinematics and dynamics of mobile robots, as well as different constructions and mechanical designs of advanced robotic systems such as planetary rovers and snake-like robots.

We will also study the behaviour of mobile robots and their locomotion mechanisms.

The Capstone Project is a value-laden, high-impact learning experience that serves as the culmination of a student’s academic journey. It offers direct exposure to real-world engineering problems, current industrial challenges, and relevant societal needs. Through this project, students are expected to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, demonstrating innovative problem-solving, critical thinking, effective project planning, design implementation, and strong communication skills.
